Remembering Vic
Hey everyone, it’s with an incredibly heavy heart that we have to share some very sad news for the YVR GRC community. Just a few days ago, on Tuesday, May 26, we lost one of our truly valued members of the YVR GRC club family, our friend Victor Quintoro. Most of us knew him as Vic.
Above everything else, Vic was a loving and dedicated father who cared immensely for his family. His love for cars was a close second. Vic was the guy who pulled in a little later than most to meets in his black 2023 Circuit with the dark bronze rims and his yellow fogs that cut through the darkness. That is something I will never forget. He truly was a shining light on the open road we call life.
I was lucky enough to meet him at a car meet in Delta where he did just that. If you were lucky enough to spend some time talking with him, you knew he was one of the nicest people you would be lucky enough to meet. Vic would do anything to help out a person in need and give you shit if you were doing something that was not in your best interest.
Vic was the guy that never had a bad thing to say about anyone unless, of course, you were Port Moody Toyota. He didn’t have pleasant things to say about them. He was truly one of a kind and his passion for the GRC and most things with four wheels always shone through.
We are all grateful for the miles that we all got to share together. It wasn’t long enough, but the time we all shared together is enough to call you a true friend. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
Keep that 3 cylinder revving loud and fast, our good friend. Maybe one day we can share the open road together again.
You, my friend, may be gone but never forgotten.
